LBI National Golf & Resort | A VIVÂMEE Hospitality property
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food in accordance with VIVÂMEE Hospitality standards. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional culinary experiences across restaurant service, banquets, and resort events at LBI National Golf & Resort.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Execution
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Chef
- Execute food production for restaurant service, banquets, and special events
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of all dishes
- Contribute ideas for daily specials and menu enhancements
Kitchen Operations & Organization
- Set up and stock workstations to ensure efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, reach-in boxes, and prep areas
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of walk-in refrigeration and storage areas
- Ensure proper food rotation and storage procedures are followed
- Develop working knowledge of all kitchen stations
Quality & Food Safety
- Prepare food in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of kitchen equipment and tools
Team Collaboration
- Promote and embody the VIVÂMEE Values in all interactions
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Communicate effectively with leadership and teammates during service periods
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Continuous Improvement
- Assist with prep work and support kitchen efficiency
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team
- Contribute to maintaining high standards across all culinary operations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
