The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy, execution, and performance of all weddings and events at LBI National Golf & Resort. This role oversees the sales team, establishes and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drives revenue growth by maximizing bookings and expanding event opportunities across the guest experience.
As a key member of the VIVÂMEE leadership team, this role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership, hands-on sales execution, team development, and operational excellence, while embodying servant leadership and championing the VIVÂMEE Virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual wedding and event revenue goals
- Identify target market segments and drive performance by segment, month, and year
- Establish lead generation channels and solicitation strategies (calls, tours, outreach)
- Monitor key metrics including tour volume, conversion rates, and booking pace
- Maximize revenue by promoting multi-day weddings and additional event opportunities
Client Experience & Sales Execution
- Oversee the full client lifecycle from initial inquiry through event execution
- Participate in sales presentations, property tours, and key client meetings
- Ensure a high-touch, hospitality-driven sales experience aligned with brand standards
- Support the team in upselling enhancements including décor, menus, and event design
- Drive consistent delivery of Five-Star guest reviews and client satisfaction
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Wedding & Events Sales team
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
- Build a high-performing, collaborative, and values-driven team culture
- Model servant leadership while reinforcing VIVÂMEE Virtues daily
Operational Leadership & SOP Development
- Create, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales and marketing
- Oversee daily sales operations and optimize workflows
- Manage CRM systems, reporting, and pipeline tracking
- Maintain system integrity (including Reserve) and ensure accurate reporting
- Lead weekly sales meetings and participate in BEO meetings
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Catering, Culinary, and Operations teams for seamless execution
- Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, digital strategy, and lead generation
- Align with the General Manager on financial performance and staffing needs
- Assist in developing packages, menus, and guest experience offerings
Vendor & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with planners, vendors, and industry partners
- Represent LBI National at networking events and industry functions
- Leverage partnerships to increase referrals and drive brand awareness
Analytics & Performance Management
- Track and analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and booking data
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and increase revenue
- Provide reporting and insights to executive leadership
- Adjust sales strategies based on data and market conditions
Leadership & Mentorship Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, safe, and high-performing work environment
- Provide clear direction and accountability across the sales team
- Support new hires with structured onboarding and training
- Participate in tours to understand and improve the guest journey
- Continuously refine processes to improve team efficiency and performance
- Support cross-property collaboration within the VIVÂMEE Hospitality portfolio
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Leadership, Hospitality, Catering, or Events
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience leading sales teams in weddings, resorts, or luxury hospitality environments
- Strong leadership presence with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and analytics
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience in marketing strategy and digital campaigns preferred

Base salary up to $50,000 annually + commission structure
